Buying Spare Life Inputs...

Postby Junior Geek » 28 Apr 2010, 11:46

One thing i found to be quite useful was to buy occasional life inputs from the auction even if i currently couldn't use them.
With two of my auction - purchased pawns arriving in less than happy states, being able to add 2 new inputs to each really helped in quickyl getting them up to being worthwhile resource-gatherers.

I would give two warnings on this tactic though...
- DON'T spend absurd amounts on these inputs, you don't know if they'll ever actually be useful
- Where possible, avoid buying the unique inputs types. I bought one Accomodation Input, and then found that all the pawns that could have used it already had one, making it completely worthless. The auction screen doesn't take this into account, so if a unique input is available it will say that all of the appropriate pawns can use it, when in fact they may already have one

Agree on everything, I did the same myself and it was quite good to boost new pawns after the auction. Can be dangerous though because if you tie up too many resources on the extra inputs you end up not being able to do anything...
